My journey into mind-body awareness began as a gymnast at the age of 10. When I discovered yoga, I was immediately inspired. Since then, yoga has become a constant in my life path. In 2007, I received my teaching certification from the White Lotus Foundation studying Vinyasa Flow Yoga with Ganga White & Tracey Rich. I returned to White Lotus in 2009 for their Advanced Training--Deepening Your Practice. I have also studied with numerous renowned teachers including Shiva Rea (Chakra Vinyasa), John Friend, Desiree Rumbaugh, Sianna Sherman, Amy Ippoliti, Noah Mazé, Betsey Downing, Ana Forrest, Roger Cole (Restorative Yoga), and completed two years of Anusara Immersions and Teacher Trainings (2010-2011) with Geri Portnoy at Yoga Del Mar and am now licensed as an Anusara-Inspired yoga teacher. In February 2012, I earned my certification in Therapeutic Yoga with Cheri Clampett and Arturo Peal at the White Lotus Foundation.
I believe yoga is the art of remembering our true nature. When we align with the flow of grace, we open our hearts with love to the present moment. It is my intention as an instructor of yoga to encourage a profound meditative experience inviting students to connect with their essence while coming into a state of optimum health.
I am also a Certified Massage Therapist specializing in Thai massage, an elegant modality blending yoga and bodywork. I graduated from the International Professional School of Bodywork (IPSB) with over 1,400 hours of training, and currently teach yoga and Thai massage classes offered at IPSB. I also lead Thai massage workshops at various venues throughout California. The practice of Thai Massage allows me to provide a yoga experience to people who might not be directly interested in yoga.
